U&A Smashes Wickerman

An immense weekend was had by all at Wickerman in Scotland.

For the first time, U&A were asked to host one of the Big Tops at BassCamp and succeeded in jam-packing the place on both nights. I can honestly say that every one of the crew's DJs stepped properly up to the plate, with special kudos going out to Mike Hulme and Rektchordz who closed out Friday & Saturday & held the floor till the end, with choruses of 'ONE MORE TUNE' echoing into the night. Much respect also goes out to Resistance, Zodiac Cartel, The Loops of Fury, Calvertron and Vandal, all of whom completely smashed it.

Elite Force gets Revamped ....

We've put together a series of BANGING reworks of 'The Law of Life' taken from the Revamped album, split over two releases, the first of which is dropping as a pre-release exclusively on BEATPORT today (Mon 21st June), just prior to his Glastonbury show on Thursday.

This first package features cracking re-works from Zodiac Cartel (fresh from remixing Moby, Lee Coombs & Emanuel Kosh) and electro-techno wunderkid, Mike Hulme who smashes it with his dark & deadly, snaking technoid re-take. U&A stalwart Rektchordz (aka Jamie Smithson) is back & firing on all cylinders with his latest bomb from the tech-funk trenches.

Brave New World

It's a real thrill to finally have a dedicated site up & running for U&A Recordings. Although the label's not yet 3 years old, it been a real rollercoaster ride & speaking as label boss it's been a genuine pleasure for me to have been able to showcase the up & coming talents of the likes of Zodiac Cartel, The Loops of Fury, Rektchordz, Butter Party, Mike Hulme, Dustbowl alongside established artists like myself (Elite Force) and Meat Katie, and of course the myriad of talented remixers who have all helped put U&A firmly on the map.

It's onwards & upwards for the label into 2010. This site will become more & more essential with the passing months as a key hub for all the artists, and the ONLINE STORE we have just finished building will be a great resource for all things relating to the label, from gig tickets to signed physical copies to remix parts to T-Shirts, and of course a wealth of unique digital content. We kick it off with some very special offers of bundled digital & physical copies of the compilation album 'Tech-Funk Vol.1' we released in December. Check it out!
